Scare the Crap Out of Yourself This Weekend!!

by Reid on July 20, 2013

TGIF! Embarking on a fun, adventure filled weekend? Or has life gotten full of burdensome tasks and depressing ruts?

When my life gets burdensome and weighed-down, it’s usually because I haven’t scared myself of late! Or I haven’t recently inspired myself with new perspectives (meaning I haven’t had any good “Brain Sex”)!

Trying Something NewElenaor Roosevelt said “Do one thing every day that scares you,” and she was right! And if YOU combine what scares you WITH new perspectives… Watch out! ‘Cause you’re mixing the turbo fuel for change that can transform soul-sucking weekends into a life you’ve only dreamt of…

THIS Weekend: I invite you to create a “Fear List” and start “walking towards the gun” in your relationships. Literally make a list of 3 to 10 things you’re putting off doing because you’re afraid of them. Then check off one a day this weekend, and at least one a week for the next two months.

Why? Because doing this changed my life! Really. Facing the things that frighten you -it doesn’t matter if it’s back taxes or going to the dentist or the scariest relationship conversation you’ve ever considered- helps you expand your world and break out of ruts.

What could you do THIS weekend to expand your world, even a bit? What could you do today, tomorrow, Sunday to check off at least one box on your “Fear List?”
One of the reasons I recommend powerful speakers and programs is because, while I don’t think free podcasts are frightening, I DO think they can provide new perspectives and help you face your fears and come out the other side…

And you can often listen to them while driving, or cleaning the house (like I do), or on a plane… OR enroute to doing that next scary thing off your Fear List! (I like to stack functions ’cause I’m geeky that way!)

I hope you scare yourself this weekend, even if juuuuuust a teensy-weensy bit!

Ps. FWD this link to a friend if you think that’ll scare ’em! 😉
