One great way to bond with your fellow ConvergeCon Attendees (and help promote next year’s ConvergeCon!) is to ask them if they want to do a video on Facebook Live with you, and, if they say yes, follow through and shoot it!

In conjunction with ConvergeCon and ReidAboutSex, The ConvergeCon 2017 Facebook Live Contest will begin Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 10am.

Contest Rules

  1. Videos must be submitted by noon on Wednesday 19th, pacific time.
  2. Videos must be between at least 1 minute in length.
  3. You must mention ConvergeCon and Convergecon.ca at the beginning.
  4. Share what you’re learning at ConvergeCon, or what you learned from other people sharing about it on social media. You can also share how much you wish you were at ConvergeCon if you didn’t make it this year! You do not need to be in attendance to enter or win!!
  5. You can include multiple people in the broadcast but prize awarded only to the FB account it’s broadcast from.
  6. You can submit as many videos as you like! Each video increases your chances of winning; however, they must be different videos. (For example, you can share about each talk you go to, and interview other people about the talks they went to as well).
  7. If you are shy or don’t feel comfortable, you can also interview someone on video about the conference and submit that!
  8. Send us an email with “ConvergeCon Video Contest” in the subject line to Support@ReidAboutSex.com with the link(s) to your Facebook posted video. (Contestant names and emails will be shared with ConvergeCon for promotional purposes).
  9. Please let us know if you are a Facebook Live Newbie… (10 or fewer Facebook Live videos made by you on your page).
  10. Contest Deadline: Videos must be uploaded by Noon Pacific on Wednesday, April 19th, along with emailed links. Prizes will be awarded at the closing ceremony.

And don’t forget to say who you are, and what your business is! You deserve the recognition, too!

What Will Happen If I Submit a Video?

  • As long as we can grab your video or link, it will be included on a webpage on ReidAboutSex.com and I will announce the Video contest with the link to that page to my list.
  • We will choose the winning videos in a random drawing, (at least one award will be reserved for someone(s) who are relatively new to making video!)

The Prizes/Categories Are:

1st Prize

– A $269 gift certificate off of Sex Geek Summer Camp (may also be used for non-physical merchandise in my store).

2nd Prize

– Free registration to ConvergeCon 2018!

Newbie and other awards

– Based on number of submissions, there will be a Newbie award and possibly other Runner Up prizes. Win a Sex Geek Tee in your choice of color and size!
