I’m honored that The Center for Family Life Education and Planned Parenthood of Central & Greater Northern NJ have invited me to teach social media and branding skills as part of 2012’s National Sex Ed Conference’s “Growing Your Sex Ed Business” tract. AND, I get to co-teach with the amazing, Kiceise Drew of YouTube! (Insert Sex Geek “Squeeeeeeee!”)
As if that weren’t enough, I’m going to be rubbing elbows with some of the best sex educators in the business, among them, the legendary, 15th United States Surgeon General, Dr. Joycelyn Elders!
What is the National Sex Ed Conference, you ask?
From the official SexEdConference.com site: The CFLE’s award-winning National Sex Ed Conference is the PREMIER place for sexuality educators to network and learn! Open to health educators, community educators, teachers, professors, nurses, social workers, counselors, therapists, scholars…if you teach sex ed, this is the conference for YOU!

What will Reid and Kicesie be talking about?
Transmedia Storytelling, Social Networking and Sex Education: “Mainstreaming” Sex Education with Interactive Socialmedia and Digital Capture and Publishing Technologies with Reid Mihalko and Kicesie Drew
Transmedia Storytelling is the technique of engaging audiences and permeating their daily lives by telling a single story across multiple platforms and formats using current digital technologies. With the popularity of social media and the ease and affordability of digital capture and publishing technologies, now, more than ever, sex positive professionals have opportunities to reach larger audiences than ever before. But how?
Join Reid Mihalko and YouTube’s Kicesie Drew to learn ways you can get your message and services out of the “sex ghetto” and into the minds and lives of mainstream audiences through an understanding, integration and application of transmedia storytelling, social media, digital capture and publishing technologies.
