Reid: Toy boat. Toy boat. Toy boat.
Sandra: This is my voice!
Sandra: Boy toy. Butt plug. Butt plug. Butt plug.
Reid: Butt boy. Butt boy. Butt boy.
Sandra: Boy butter. Boy butter.
Reid: Good? Ready?
Sandra: Hitachi! Yes!
Reid: Hello everybody! This is Reid Mihalko from https://reidaboutsex.com, creator of http://www.sexgeeksummercamp.com/ and I have an exciting news. I’m on Skype with sex nerd Sandra Daugherty and I’m announcing that you’re coming to camp.
Sandra: It’s true! The word is out!
Reid: This is exciting! Sex Geek Summer Camp will never be the same with the exception of the year you went to the first Sex Geek Summer Camp. But you’re coming to the third one this year…
Sandra: Yes!
Reid: Which means we’re doing something right coz your coming back.
Sandra: Oh, yeah! I’m coming back for the s’mores, the knowledge and the friendship.
Reid: And friendship. Come for the business advice stay for the friendship.
Sandra: Yeah! Kind of.
Reid: Well, you know I have a tendency [inaudible 00:01:16]. What are you excited about? You’ll be talking about podcasting…
Sandra: Yes
Reid: And teaching campers some of the ins and outs of podcasting.
Sandra: Yeah, I feel like there, when people start putting themselves out there in media and whether it’s Periscope or YouTube or podcasting, there are certain things that I see that people do first that really just can, just sink your ship. And it can be so easy to get off on the right foot and so I want to throw out the things I know to rock the podcast right.
Reid: Podcast right. I think we have the title for the top.
Sandra: There we go.
Reid: The podcast will be telling…no, but we’ll rock the podcast.
Sandra: Yes.
Reid: Excellent!
Sandra: Yeah!
Reid: Other things, for people who were, who maybe are hesitating…
Sandra: Cool!
Reid: It’s my alarm to do a Skype interview with you, that’s how I organize them. For people who are may be on the fence about camp or can’t make it this year but are thinking about coming next year, what did you get out of camp the first time that you came and what are you excited about getting or trying to figure out for yourself this year?
Sandra: For me it felt like a really good…it filled in a lot of the holes that I have felt in terms of understanding different kinds of business models. So I have people that I know and the not I have about how to be in the world, support myself and do what I love and you brought together people and presented material that was enlightening and really just help me get a better holistic scope of my choices. So it felt invaluable.
Reid: What are you excited about this year?
Sandra: I think that as someone who I consider my career in sexuality to be probably life flaw and who I was two years ago is different than who I am now. So I think I’m going to hear the topics in a different way, I’ll probably a lot out of it still, and I’m excited to see who shows up. I’m excited to see you and the people that I’ll get to meet.
Reid: Well, the exciting news which I don’t think you know yet is that we have cracked 69 camper mark, alone by it. So we are well into the seventies for campers for this year. So it is, I’m excited because there’s a ton of people that I haven’t met yet. And I get to share your work with them and Allison Moon, Amanda Leigh and Cathy Vartuli and so I just want to say thank you for being a yes to camp and I’ll see you very soon.
Sandra: You’re welcome. Thank you! See you.
Reid: Any parting words?
Sandra: No, just consensual hugs and high fives!
Reid: Bye. See you at camp!
Sandra: See you at camp.
