Are you prepared to show off your geekiness in the most collaborative and geeky way possible? We’ve got exciting news for you – this year, you can enter the contest on the social media platform of your choice! Let’s dive into the details:

🌟 The Contest Coordinator: Cathy Vartuli from TheIntimacyDojo will be leading the charge and coordinating the contests.

📱 Perfect for Social Media Newbies: Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned social media pro, this contest is a great opportunity to practice your social media skills so you can reach new audiences and inspire your followers. In the past, it has helped Campers enhance their social media expertise, strengthen relationships, and even inspired them to create their own social media contests to promote their offerings and expand their career and brand.

📝 CONTEST RULES:

Before the Hashtag Contest begins, we’ll host a Social Media Clinic. It’s not mandatory to attend, but it’s perfect for those who want to upgrade their skills or explore new social media platforms.
The contest officially starts at noon on Sunday, June 18th. Any posts, tweets, or other social media content shared between noon PDT Sunday and 11:59 am PDT on Monday with the hashtag #SGSC23 will count towards the contest.
Earn extra points by mentioning something you experienced at Camp, sharing a quote from Reid or other instructors, or highlighting something valuable you learned. Take a photo and share it! (Just be conscious of any no-photo people!)
You’ll score additional points for mentioning our Camp Sponsors, @ReidAboutSex, and teachers. Feel free to share your social media contacts in the Facebook group. A list of social media links for Sponsors and Teachers is provided below.
Every time your post, tweet, or video is shared, you gain extra, extra points. Let’s build relationships and support each other! If someone mentions you, repost, share, reply, or do it all! Just remember to include #SGSC23 for everything to count.
There’s no limit to the number of posts, tweets, or videos you can submit. Just keep them in good taste and ensure they’re original. Spamming the same content repeatedly won’t count, so let’s keep it diverse and engaging!
To be counted in the contest, your social media accounts must be public. Private or blocked accounts won’t register hashtags with the programs we use.
The deadline for the Camp Twitter Contest is 11:59 am EST on Monday, June 19th.
The hashtag count will be determined using Brandmentions or Brand24 free counter, and prizes will be awarded accordingly.
