Announcing: It’s the Camp Twitter Contest!

Last year, we had A LOT of fun running our Sex Geek Summer Camp Twitter Contest.

And this year we’re doing it again… And it’s gonna be even BETTER!

The Twitter Contest was great practice for those new and old to Twitter. It helped Campers anchor the new social media skills and cement relationships they were forming, and demonstrated how YOU could go home and create a social media contest of your own to help promote YOUR OFFERINGS and expand the reach of YOUR CAREER and BRAND.

Oh! And we had some pretty fun prizes, too!

Contest Rules

1. We’ll have a Twitter Clinic over free time the day before – on Monday, at 2pm, in the Teaching Dome. You don’t need to attend the Clinic to enter the contest – this is for people who are new to Tweeting or want to upgrade their Twitter skillz.
2. On Tuesday, at the start of breakfast, the contest officially beings! Any tweets between 8am and 11:59pm EST on Tuesday that include the #SGSC and/or @SexGeekSmmrCamp (please note spelling of Smmr!) count.
3. Extra points for mentioning something you experienced, a Reid Quote, or something you learned at Camp!
4. You also get extra, extra points for mentioning other Campers’ Twitter Handles, our Camp Sponsors’ Twitter Handles, and @ReidAboutSex! (We’ll provide a list of Twitter Handles, and you can give us yours on the Facebook group).
5. You get additional points for every time your tweet is retweeted. Be generous folks! Build relationships! If you see someone tweet about you, retweet or reply, or both! Make sure to include #SGSC2015 or @SexGeekSmmrCamp for all this awesomeness to count.
6. You can submit as many tweets as you like. Just be in good taste and make the tweets original. (Tweeting the same thing over and over doesn’t count. Retweeting more than once doesn’t count… Don’t be a tweet spammer!) 🙂
7. Camp Twitter Contest Deadline: Tweets and Retweets must be posted by 11:59pm Pacific on Tuesday, July 28th.

The Fabulous Prizes will be announced on Wednesday and are pretty fun! AND, the Winners will be announced before the end of Camp, once we get all your awesome social media’ness tallied and know who won!
