Hey Reid! You’re fabulous and I just watched 2 Embracing the Awkward videos. It seems to me that the awkward happens when you don’t know what you would like to do. So when you get to step 5, and your mind is blank, then what?
I just experienced this this weekend when on a date with someone I really like. There was a few awkward silences. Since I have known the person a while, it wasn’t too bad but I kept thinking “we are in The Awkward, does he feel it too? I wish I had something clever or interesting to say or suggest…” And I just felt like I had the “deer in the headlights” stunned feeling. I really couldn’t think of a damn thing and of coarse a half hour after the date ended and I was driving home, I had a bunch of things I wanted to ask or tell him. Wtf!!! It really is like 7 th grade isn’t it? Any ideas on how to get ones brain “unstuck” in those awkward moments? Thanx a mill and your just bloody fantastic!
Thanks for the “Embrace the Awkward” videos. I can’t wait to ry them out. The holiday season is In Full swing so there should be plenty of opportunities. However I’m not sure I’ll have any ideas at the time. I’ll let you know how things turn out. Just having a framework to use does reduce some social anxiety though so thanks again.

Sounds like a GREAT suggestion for me to cut a 3rd video! Thank you for the geekery, Vash!
